Learn a new language for free online!
The Simcoe County District School Board offers children in Grade 1 to 8 an opportunity to learn and/or maintain a language other than French or English. Whether you enrol your children in this program to learn a new language, understand a new culture, or to extend their knowledge of their first language, every student can benefit from this program.
Registration
Please use the registration tab below to register for the language of choice. Classes will run subject to sufficient enrolment and available instructors.
Languages offered are based on sufficient enrolment and may include Farsi, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, Turkish and Indigenous Languages.
Eligibility
Students enroled in Grade 1 to 8, in any publicly funded school in Ontario, are eligible to enrol in this program.
Class schedule
Saturday program: Program start dates will be established once minimum enrolment is reached.
9:00am-11:30am
The program will be offered online with synchronous instruction using Brightspace/D2L Learning Management System.
Cost
There is no cost for this program for students currently enroled in a publicly funded school and a resident of Ontario.
