International Languages After School Program
Learn A New Language for Free
Simcoe County District School Board proudly offers children in grades 1 through 8 an opportunity to learn and/or maintain a language other than French or English. Whether you enrol your children in this program to learn a new language, understand a new culture or to extend their knowledge of their first language, every student can benefit from this program.
Students enrolled in grades 1 through 8 are eligible to enrol in this program
Barrie: Arabic*, Russian*, Mandarin, Korean, Greek, Farsi*, German, Spanish, Urdu*
Bradford: Tamil*, Urdu*, Spanish, Russian*

Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 11:30am starting September 19, 2015.

Semester 1 - September 19, 26, Oct. 3, 17, 24, 31 , Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28, Dec. 5, 12
Semester 2 - Jan 9, 16, 23, 30, Feb 6, 20, 27, Mar 5, Apr 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, May 7, 14
Barrie - Learning Centre, Barrie, 320 Bayfield Street, Bayfield Mall (Highway 400 and Bayfield Street).
Bradford - Learning Centre, Bradford, 157 Holland Street East, Suit 200, 2nd floor.
There is no charge for this program; however, we must attain a minimum number of students per language in order to offer the class. Most classes fill quickly and are established on a first come first served basis.
If you are a High School student and interested in volunteering with the International Language Program a resume and cover letter must be submitted to Crystal Fletcher at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please specify the proficiency in the language that you are interested in helping with. A reference from your school will be required. We thank all applicants; however, only successful candidates will be contacted for an interview.
